Welcome to my Blog, Polish Shoes and Booze!  I am a 22 year old woman who is trying to figure out what to do in the world as the transition from student to worker is undertaken. It's crazy having to go and find my 'forever' job now as oppose to just a summer position.

I live in the central Cariboo of British Columbia Canada and having moved from Edmonton AB, to Prince George BC, and settling down in Williams Lake BC.  When I was growing up I never would have thought that I would move out to BC to a community where going to Prince George (eek!) is a cause for celebration! Williams Lake has..... nothing.... oh wait we do have a Wal-Mart, but our shoe store (Shoe Warehouse) closed down so now Wal-Mart is the only place to shop for Shoes. We do have a little local place but they don;t have cute, dare I say even sexy shoes. They cater more towards the stock selection of Birkenstock (Not that I have anything against them, but  who really needs more than 1 pair).

My Live in Lover (Niggz) and I moved here 2 years ago at which time he was offered a job on Friday morning to start on the following Wednesday. I am the type of person who takes a while to process change and it took me a while before I was fully ok with the move. Since then we have been through so much together, +3 years, 2 apartments, 2 moves, 1 house and 1.5 years of me going back to PG for school. He is my rock and I am so lucky to have him in my life.

Last year we bought a house(!) and since then I have felt very secure about where I am supposed to be. It is so nice after 5+ years of moving every 4 to 8 months to have a home base that I love and take care of.
As I mentioned before I am done all my schooling even thought due to unforeseen circumstances ( I was in the hospital during finals, more on that later!) I won't be convocating and walking across the stage until May 2014. The school will give me a piece of paper saying I have the qualifications but they won't give me THE piece of paper.

My goal is that you enjoy reading what I have to say and I hope that I can make someone's life easier. On this blog I will talk about what I have on my mind as well as do reviews for the various beauty boxes I am subscribed to, currently TopBox and Loosebutton's Luxe Box. Topbox is a monthly subscription ($12) and Luxe Box is a quarterly subscription ($26)
